So, after having everyone on the internet (well, a lot of them, not all of them) fapping about Scott Pilgrim and how great it is, I finally read the first book.
Yeah. It’s a comic all right. It’s got drawings, and a story, and words. Yup. So, it gets good when exactly?
I dunno, I may have to go re-read Bone to get the taste of mediocrity out of my mouth.
In all fairness - the Scott Pilgrim books are not an example of amazing literary work. They are super overrated at this point. If I hadn’t already read the first five, I would actually feel pretty much towards SP as I do towards Twilight and all things Street Fighter.
SP is painfully hipster sometimes, but I do like it and the movie looks amazing. I’m glad I read them before all this hype boiled over. Thanks Dennis.
The books are good non the less, but everyone’s hyping the books more than the movie right now. As if the books where a joint venture between Samuel L Jackson and Adrian Brody. Only in a real mans world….
Speaking of Bone, I need to pick that up….
